Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep……SLAM! Oh Mondays….who invented you anyway? Ah…ok, ok….I’m up….in just two more minutes.
Mondays are hard. Yeah? Yeah. Monday is the day I’ve come to loathe, to struggle to get started and get through. By the time it’s over, it feels like I didn’t really accomplish all the things Monday was expecting me to accomplish….mostly because it takes me half a day just to wake up. There has to be a way to change this maddening pattern…
Enter U-Vigorate with Andrée Culpepper…..the CURE to a case of the Mondays!
Ever since I started taking this class on Monday mornings at 10am here at SomaSpace, I actually look forward to Mondays…a new concept! I get my body moving and it carries me through the rest of the day, cuts the lethargy at the knees, and gets my mind clear and ready to operate. It’s get my brain and body fired up to tackle not just the day but the entire week! It’s my new coffee.
We dance, move, and jam out to funky world music, latin beats, and soulful grooves! IT’S SO MUCH FUN! Seriously, this class is awesome. Andrée is an awesome instructor who keeps this “feel good workout for every body” low impact, high energy, and non-competitive. She throws in repetitive movement patterns that challenge memory, balance, and coordination…but never calls you out for not doing something perfect…you just do what you can and give yourself permission to play!
