Here are a few supplements that I recommend to everyone for general health and well-being:
Vitamin D is essential for iron absorption and bone health as well as being anti-inflammatory and helping to prevent cancer. I recommend 2,000 IU daily or 10,000 IU a week. Vitamin D is fat soluable so you can take a daily dose or weekly dose and get the same benefits!
Curcumin is the active ingredient in tumeric to help with reducing inflammation in the body. Studies show you need a large dose of 1g-2g daily in order to get the benefits. I recommend 1g in the morning and 1g before bed.
Glucosamine Chondroitin has been shown to help support joint health by slowing the breakdown of cartilage in synovial joints. It also helps reduce pain and swelling. The studies show this one should be taken three times a day, although I have seen clients have benefit from twice daily dosing as well. The appropriate dose is 500mg glucosamine/ 250mg chondroitin three daily. Or 1000mg glucosamine/ 500mg chondroitin in the morning and 500mg glucosamine/250mg chondroitin in the evening.
